The Sikhs are expected to follow the principles ‘Kirat Karo (Honest earning), Naam Japo (Be with Akalpurakh and Shabad Guru, who are embodiment of each other) and Wand Chhako (Share with the havenots)’.
As regards schemes of the Government, some are loans and some are subsidies. The loans are with interest and the subsidies are given to compensate, particularly the farmers, for the higher costs incurred by them, on production of food, which they are not able to recover otherwise. In undersigned’s opinion, these subsidies should be claimed.
Anonymousji do not pay tax to Govt.
According to my understanding, Sikhs also pay tax to government, so in the end, in a way, it’s Sangat’s money been given back to our community
As sikhi promotes Dasvandh (10% of your income to social causes) that also means it will go to the needy, Sikh or not
Also it’s given to those who are already earning their Haq di kamai but it’s not enough due to modern times
