Can Sikhs brings ashes of the deceased home?

Are there any do’s or Dont’s, before the ashes are scattered in India in KIRATPUR SAHIB.

      Yes, you can bring the ashes home and there is no need of taking the same to Kartarpur for scattering. Please read page 26 (ਕ) of the Sikh Rehat Maryada by clicking on the link below:-

      As you can see, the Sikh Rehat Maryada prescribes as under:-

      “ਮਿਰਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦਾ ‘ਅੰਗੀਠਾ ਠੰਡਾ ਹੋਣ’ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੇਹ ਦੀ ਭਸਮ ਅਸਥੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਉਠਾ ਕੇ ਜਲ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ, ਜਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਦੱਬ ਕੇ ਜਿਮੀਂ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਸਸਕਾਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਯਾਦਗਾਰ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਮਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ।”
