      Respected Paramjit ji,
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

You have quoted one line of Gurbani ‘ਧਨ ਜੋਬਨ ਕਾ ਗਰਬੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ’ and asked for explanation of the Tuk. You yourself have indicated the meaning of the line that do not ‘take pride in your wealth and youth.’

The line ‘ਧਨ ਜੋਬਨ ਕਾ ਗਰਬੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ’ is from a Shabad of Kabir ji in Rag Maru and is located at Panna 1106 of Guru Granth Sahib. The complete Shabad and its meaning are given below.

In brief, Kabir Sahib is guiding us that the wealth and youth are not permanent and as paper decays, after getting wet in water, the wealth and youth are also short-lived. One has to repent if one forgets the Creator and over indulges in worldly wealth and takes false pride in youth. Kabir Sahib is advising us to get rid of vices and achieve emancipation in this life time (Jeevan Mukat) as Sikhism doesn’t subscribe to the theory of Mukati after death. If you have any further questions please do ask.

      Regards,
      Your Brother
P.S. if you find any deficiencies in the reply , please do point out the same for further improvement.

Parmjitji I want to add this to good answer by Kulwinder Singhji. GURBANI does not subscribe to renunciation of material wealth and relationships. GURU says work hard, enjoy comforts of life but never become attached to material wealth and relations.
