There is no reference in Gurbani enshrined in Guru Granth Sahib Ji, regarding the purpose of Guru Nanak’s travel to MECCA.
The purpose of travel to MECCA, like travels to anyother place, appears to be to educate the masses about the ੴ (IKKO, THE ONE), the onenessof the Creation and the brotherhood/sisterhood of the Humanity. To breakdown the barriers based on the religion or differing beleifs.
Most Muslims think that Mecca is the earthly abode of Allah.
Nanak Sahib wanted to shatter this illogical myth.
Mecca can only be visited by a devout Muslim, and never by any non Muslims, yet, Nanak Sahib disregaded this code to convey the Truth and guide the innocents.
