Does the intention behind any Mannat or Sukhana also hold significance? ਕੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਮੰਨਤ ਜਾਂ ਸੁਖਨਾ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੀ ਨੀਅਤ ਵੀ ਮਾਅਨੇ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ?

None of the Mannat or Sukhana are going to work. All these are our own self created confusions. Akal Purkh is not in our control. But all of us are under his controlling system. i.e. Hukam.

All the thinking about evil eye, etc. Do not have any effect on a Gurmukh. All these are the creations of our mind and fear. Any person who has established his relation with the Shabad Guru does not feel any type of illusion, fear of death or pain. Such a Gurmukh leads a happy and contended life.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਰੀਰ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਪੀਰ ॥ ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੪੦॥ (੩੬੧)

All these confusions and illusions are the creations of our own mind. Once we start knowing and following Gurbani written in Guru Granth Sahib, then all these confusions will vanish.
ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਕਟਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੁ ਬਲਾਇਆ ॥ – 78

ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਗਲਤ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ
ਭਰਮ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨੇ ਹਨਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲ੍ਹਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਉਦਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ
GurSikh always remains in Chardi Kala and lives according to the system of Akal Purkh. With sustained efforts one can convert failure into success.
ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰੇਦਿਆ ਜੀਉ ਤੂੰ ਕਮਾਵਦਿਆ ਸੁਖ ਭੁੰਚੁ ॥ ਧਿਆਇਦਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਤਰੀ ਚਿੰਤ ॥੧॥i – 522

ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਹੈ
Any one who does not try to understand the Hukam of the Akal Purkh according to which the whole universe is running both at mental level and physical level, keeps on suffering in his life. Such a person remains in the illusion and does not lead a comfortable and peaceful life.Hukam operating at mental level can be understood with the help of Guru Granth Sahib.
Hukam operating at physical level can be understood with the help of Science and other fields
