SARADHS are to provide food and material items to the forefathers after their death.
Sikhi has no such concept.
The following SABD by Bhagat Kabir ji on page 332 of SGGS directly contradicts the concept of the SARADH.
thanks ji
Gurmat does not allow any type of Sharrad.
What to say about accepting, the agent, Pandit or any Granthi will get punished according to his system.
There are many cases of diseases among such people who are having the habit of free eating. Diabetic and hypertension is very common these days.
thanks ji
First of all, Sikhi doesn’t have a checklist approach wherein you will be told what to do and what not to do. Means what is allowed and what is not.
We are not Machines who will follow the commands like do this, do that, don’t do this, etc.
Gurbani gives us the understanding. Once you get the essence of Gurbani, you will automatically make right choices for yourself. Motivation for doing something or for not doing/rejecting something should come from inside (your heart or mind) not from outside (from the understanding of others)
So, Instead of taking shortcuts and asking for what is allowed and what is not, you should try to get the essence of Gurbani and find answers yourself! Develop your own opinion and understanding, then discuss!
Yes, you can ask and discuss genuine questions where you get confused in understanding something.
