Should we have to be Amritdhari to follow the spiritual path in Sikh religion ?
Jaswinder first we need to know who is AMRITDHARI. Literally it means one who has taken AMRIT. GURU says AMRIT HAR HAR NAAM HAI MERI JINDRIAI AMRIT GURMAT PAAI RAAM (SGGS PAGE 538) meaning AMRIT is SHABAD, BANI, SATGURU, DIVINE WISDOM that can only be realized through teachings of SGGSJI. Therefore to be AMRITDHARI is to be SACHIARA, GURMUKH, SPIRITUALLY ENLIGHTENED. Therefore any human being can be AMRITDHARI. But to be KHALSA you need to take KHANDE DE PAHUL , ALSO CALLED KHANDE DA AMRIT. Ask further clarification if needed.
In my view one can follow the spiritual path of Sikhi and become a Sachiara, even without going through the ritual of partaking Pahul.
