      There is no acceptance of any such ritual in Guru Granth Sahib, as clearly described in the following Shabad.
      ਮਾਥੇ ਤਿਲਕੁ ਹਥਿ ਮਾਲਾ ਬਾਨਾਂ ॥ ਲੋਗਨ ਰਾਮੁ ਖਿਲਉਨਾ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੧॥ 1158
      Akal Purkh cannot be pleased with such appearance, like giving a toy to the child.
      We have to build good character, virtues and analyzing power with the help of Gurbani. If we want to improve our life, then we have to know the Hukam of Akal Purkh, get the true education which modulates our mind and body. This all will be possible if we study, understand and follow the Gurbani written in Guru Granth Sahib.
