Gurbani says
ਜਾਤਿ ਕਾ ਗਰਬੁ ਨ ਕਰਿ ਮੂਰਖ ਗਵਾਰਾ ॥
ਇਸੁ ਗਰਬ ਤੇ ਚਲਹਿ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਵਿਕਾਰਾ।।
He who is proud of caste is a fool. This creates many disorders in society. Guru Sahib has taken the Sikhs out of the cycle of caste division. A Sikh who is proud of caste is not a Sikh.
