Respected Karnam Ji;
Thank you for a good question.
There is no such reference, positive or negative, in Sri Guru Granth Sahib about holding a marriage in Darbar Sahib Amritsar.
In Sikhi marriage can be held at any place / location as per the rules of that location.
For administrative purposes, every location has their own rules and practices,
Darbar Sahib Amritsar, and many other locations have similar rules/practices. At all such locations, the practice is that it is open to visits by Sangat throughout the day and Gurbani Kirtan is sung throughout the day. Any activity that might require altering that practice is not held at such locations. Marriage is one such activity that will require modification to the practice and Sangat may be inconvenienced. For that reason, such locations are not available for marriages or any other activity that might alter their regular schedule. As per Sikhi, there is no spiritual reason why the practice cannot be modified if required.
At the same time, It is not the location, it is the presence of Guru Sahib that matters in marriage. In Sikhi, marriage performed anywhere, in presence of Guru Granth Sahib, has equal importance, be it at Darbar Sahib Amritsar or at any other location.
Thank you
