The Tenth Guru Person, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, on completion of his mission, had closed the lineage of living Guru Persons and ordained Guru Granth Sahib as ever living Guru of Sikhs/Humanity. Therefore, the Baani included in Guru Granth Sahib only is Gurbani. Rest all the writings are literature and whatever is included in the same, needs to be applied the touch stone of Gurbani. Therefore, only those writings, which pass the test are to be accepted. Rest all are to be rejected.

As per Gurbani, Akalpurakh and Shabad Guru, are spiritually embodiment of each other. Therefore, in a way, whatever Gurbani is included in Guru Granth Sahib is the word of Akalpurakh. In ,Sikhism , the Akalpurakh is Hukam Roop whereas Shabad Guru is Updesh Roop. The Hukam of Akalpurakh has to be accepted by all but as far as Updesh of Shabad Guru is concerned, those who accept it become Gurmukhs and those who don’t accept become Manmukhs. Whereas the Gurmukhs achieve the stage of spiritual equipoise and spiritual bliss and finally achieve emancipation/salvation (enlightenment) in this life itself, the Manmukhs waste their valuable life by remaining engrossed in material world and die spiritual death in every moment of their life.
