In some Gurudwaras there are chairs and tables in the Langar halls, in others, there aren’t and you sit down to eat langar. Shouldn’t we sit on the floor and have langar or is sitting on chair or standing up at a table okay?

Sukhpreet we had enough controversy about this. What difference it makes we sit on chairs or on the floor. We , Sikhs have lot other issues to solve.
We should sit together in langar on floor this shows all are equal irrespective of our social or economic status. chairs in some places are kept for people having disability to sit on floor( old or handicap)
In my view as long as the tables are not segregated and are laid in a continuous Pangat or line, it would be alright.
in olden times when eating on chairs and tables was not the the need of those days, regular sitting on floor was more appropriate.
However, sitting on ground can also be incorporated alongwith.
