Respected S. Hardeep Singh Ji;
Thank you for asking a question that comes to many a mind.
There is no such reference in Sri Guru Granth Sahib as to why Sikhs go to Hindu temples and worship there too.
There can be two ways to look at it.
1) Some Sikhs go to Hindu temples, only to accompany their friends, and pretend to somehow go through the activity without meaning it. So, it is just to be social.
Please remember a Sikh can worship his Creator (KARTA PURAKH) anywhere and anytime. So, worshiping the Creator does not prevent one from doing so in a Temple, Mosque, Church or any other place. As long as the Sikh is worshiping his Creator (KARTA PURAKH).
2) Some Sikhs go to temples; they actually do not understand the message of Gurbani and go anywhere someone tells them and worship any things. They don’t only worship idols of gods, they also worship idols of snakes etc. This is pure insecurity and ignorance on their part. In truth they may be on their way to being Sikhs but cannot be called Sikhs in their current state.
Hope this helps.
