      Respected Brother/Sister,
      Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

      You have asked a question ‘I would like to move on. I would like to know what Gurbani says about this?’

      In reply, the undersigned wants you to read a Salok of the fifth Guru Person Guru Arjan Sahib at page 1096 of Guru Granth Sahib.

      The meanings are very clear. Guru Sahib is guiding that look forward but not backward, and make efforts to take your life to a higher pedestal but not to a lower pedestal.

      The spiritual message which Guru Sahib is giving in this’Salok’ is that win the game of your life so that by getting rid of vices, you can achieve salvation during this life itself (ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤ).

      Hope that this helps. If you have any further questions, please do ask. If you find any deficiencies, please point out the same for improvement in future.
      Regards,
      Your Brother
      P.S. You will observe that Guru Sahib instead of writing the word ‘Salok’ has written the word ‘Dakhne’ here. ‘Dakhne’ is actually a song sung by camel riders, in long breath, while being on a journey.
      ——————————–
      ਡਖਣੇ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ ਆਗਾਹਾ ਕੂ ਤ੍ਰਾਘਿ ਪਿਛਾ ਫੇਰਿ ਨ ਮੁਹਡੜਾ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਿਝਿ ਇਵੇਹਾ ਵਾਰ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਹੋਵੀ ਜਨਮੜਾ ॥੧॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 1096}
      ਅਰਥ: (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਅਗਾਂਹ ਵਧਣ ਲਈ ਤਾਂਘ ਕਰ, ਪਿਛਾਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਢਾ ਨ ਮੋੜ (ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਉੱਚਾ ਬਣਾਣ ਲਈ ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰ, ਨੀਵਾਂ ਨ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ) । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਸੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ (ਜੀਵਨ-ਖੇਡ ਜਿੱਤ) ਤਾਕਿ ਮੁੜ ਜਨਮ ਨਾਹ ਲੈਣਾ ਪਏ।1।

      Gurbani has a very progressive approach towards life and promotes growth in life. Gurbani teaches us to move forward in our lives for a better future.

      IkOnkar SatGur Parsad. IkOnkar Humanity. IkOnkar Hukam. I live by saying and than listening to myself saying these 3 things.
      You want to Move On than please focus on saying and listening to these 3 things while smiling. I accept everything, 100%, is happening in IkOnkar Hukam so by accepting it, I live my life, please focus on IkOnkar all the time, I would say. I don’t think it’s easy because I don’t know and understand IkOnkar Hukam and accepting it is difficult, once I accept IkOnkar Hukam 100% blindly or faithfully than Life will be easy, let it go. Let us Move On with IkOnkar and accept IkOnkar Hukam within IkOnkar Humanity by understanding IkOnkar SatGur Parsad.
