I don’t usually question the Gurus hukam, but why do we actually wear the Kachera?

The Hukam word used in Guru Granth Sahib relates to the laws of nature and the whole system.
The Hukam related to dress code is for uniformity of society. Kachera is to avoid the public exposure of private body parts.
can’t it be done in modern way of wearing a underwear??
I’m amritdhari sikh boy and I too feel the same .. use of kachera in modern day ???
We should always try to know the the pros and cons of anything before reaching to any conclusion. Also we should not get carried away by the fashion or propaganda.
The Kachera covers most of the body part. We can call this as a comfortable form of Barmuda or Nikkar. It is not tight for the body because it uses cotton rope (Nala).
The modern Kachera covers small portion of the body and incovient because it uses elastic, instead of Nala, which keeps on pressing all the time.
There is always air circulation in case of Kachera, whereas the modern one keeps on sticking to the body.
that’s true for sure ..🙏🏻😊
