Dear Lovi Virk ji,
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!
In response to your question as to how Sikhs view the role of technology and its impact on the world, the undersigned wants to say that the entire Gurbani is on scientific lines and there is nothing unscientific in it.
Now coming to technology, Sikhs have a positive view about it and one name, which prominently comes to the undersigned’s mind is that of Dr. Narinder Singh Kapany, who was an Indian-American physicist best known for his work on fiber optics. He is credited with inventing fiber optics, and is considered the ‘Father of Fiber Optics’. Fortune named him one of seven ‘Unsung Heroes of the 20th century’ for his Nobel Prize-deserving invention. There must be more. Hope it helps.
Regards,
Your Brother
I am grateful….
