Head wrapping for men is obvious, but as I read and learn about Sikhism I am confused about the appropriate way to protect hair for women. I thought the rule of wrapping applied to both, but some sources are showing me that woman just wear a chunny rather than a Dastaar. Please can you explain the options for womens head coverings and when to wear them. Although nowhere near ready for armit I would like to start trying to trying to cover my hair when studying the guru granth sahib and when visiting gurudwaras but I am not sure which option for head covering would be best. There are also some discrepencies on colours. Some sources suggest there are no rules to the colour. Others say you must not wear certain colours. What would be a good type and colour covering for a learning Kaur who wants to show willingness to learn, is seeking knowledge and wants to show respect. Thank you

Wearing Dastar by Kaurs also is a better option because it gets them more respect. The colour can be of your choice. You will find answers to many of your questions in Sikh Rehat Maryada. You can go to https://sgpc.net and download its English Version. If you have any difficulty, please let the undersigned know.
