      Dear Brother,
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ki Fateh!
There are different versions of seventh to Tenth Guru persons not going to Darbar Sahib. Prof. Sahib Singh tells us, in the history book written by him, that in 1654 seventh Guru Person Guru Har Rai Sahib went and stayed in Darbar Sahib for six months.
Ninth Guru Person Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib went to Darbar Sahib in the beginning of 1654 but the pujaris (masands), in control of Darbar Sahib, were afraid that they will lose all the income, if Guru Sahib stayed there. Therefore, they closed the doors and did not let Guru Sahib enter Darbar Sahib. Guru Sahib stayed in a village ‘Wala’ near Amritsar and went away to Kiratpur Sahib.
In 1665, Anandpur Sahib was set up and thereafter the centre of activity was Anandpur Sahib and not Darbar Sahib. The tenth Guru Person Guru Gobind Singh Sahib had no time since so much was going on in Anandpur Sahib and once he proceeded to South, he couldn’t come back to Punjab.
Darbar Sahib mainly became centre of activity after martyrdom of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and remained so, thereafter.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
      Regards,
      Your Brother
