      Respected veer ji
This Shabad is from Barhamah Majh Raag (SGGS) . So I’m attaching a YouTube Link from where you can thoroughly understand this shabad along with the word KARAM.

A very helpful question for a very complicated question worldwide. but guru sahib simplify it. 1st inquisite should have intense thirst..Then GOD will see his groan. if it will be like BABIHA or flike FISH out of water .None in the world can judge this phase of inquisit accept GOD. NOW it is totally up to the grace of GOD to meet the inquisite or not. karam in this shabad means kirpa. No other way of any religion or any person works here.

WKWF..This is ultimate desire of every Guru Sikh. If we just hear the shabad we can understand completely. This is the beauty of Guru Bani very simple and straight touches our heart to understand and follow…I personally appreciate Amrit pal your posting the vedio ????
This bani is on page # 134 the 5th para
1.Our desire to meet waheguru can only happen only with his nadar.
      2. I bow to the pious soul who obtained waheguru ji blessings.
This has been explained giving few examples.
But the complete Guru Granth Sahib ji has emphasized the same repeatedly again and again giving example.

Very good question. First we need to know what is the abode of God (Har) so that we can meet God.
AGGS 1427
Ghat Ghat Mai Har Ju Basai Santan Kehiou Pukar ||
The Guru proclaims that the God abides in each and everyone.
In humans God abides in our Mann.
AGGS 441
Mann Tun Jot Sarup Hai Apana Mool Pachan || Mann Har Ji Terai Naal Hai Gurmati Rang Maan ||
Mind (Mann) is the embodiment of the Divine Light and we need to recognize it (That’s its origin). Once the mind (Mann) acknowledges its origin, we shall know our husband God. For that we need to try (Karam). God abides in our Mann in the form of Virtues. For that we need to get rid of vices and bring in virues. They are our Karam.
AGGS 1147
Prathame Chodi Parai Ninda || Utar Gai Sabh Mann Ki Chinda || Lobh Moh Sabh Kino Dur || Param Baisano Prabh Pekh Hajur ||1||
Aiso Tiagi Virla Koe || Har Har Naam Japai Jan Soe ||1|| Rehao ||
Ahanbudh Ka Chodia Sang || Kam Krodh Ka Utaria Rang || Naam Dhiae Har Har Hare || Sadh Jana Kai Sang Nisatare ||2||
Bairi Meet Hoe Sanman || Sarab Meh Puran Bhagavan || Prabh Ki Agiya Maan Sukh Paya || Gur Purai Har Naam Drirraeia ||3||
Kar Kirpa Jis Rakhai Aap || Soi Bhagat Japai Naam Jap || Mann Pragas Gur Te Mat Lai || Kahu Nanak Ta Ki Puri Pai ||4||27||40||
I see God ever-present, close at hand, so I have become a great devotee. A person, who renounces all evils, is very rare. Such a humble servant lives his life according to Guru’s teachings. First, I gave up slandering others. All the anxiety of my mind (Mann) was dispelled, because most of our anxieties are due to jealousy and we slander others because we are jealous of them. With that greed and attachment were totally banished, because my greed is I am jealous of others what they have and I don’t. I have forsaken my ego. The love of sexual desire and anger has vanished because they are due to our egoistic mind. Enemy and friend are all the same to me because now I know the God is permeating in all. Accepting the Will of God, I have found peace. The Perfect Guru has implanted this wisdom within my mind (Mann).
The answer is bit long bur explains the question properly.
