Going Gurdwara on Sunday

I’ve been told by my elders I must go Gurdwara on Sunday.
Does it matter which day I go to the Gurdwara?

      one should go to Gurudwara sahib
      sit there, listen kirtan, katha and understand
      sitting in sangat is crossing a river in boat
      it really works

      ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇਸੀ ॥ – 730
      We have to go to the Guru, to learn and understand Gurbani written in Guru Granth Sahib.
      Purpose is for getting enlightenment and analysing power to judge what is wrong and what is right with the help of Gurbani.
      The day is not important.
      The target of achieving the purpose is important.
