In response to your question, the undersigned wants to say that in Sikhism, on one side it is Divine Law (ਹੁਕਮ ਰੂਪ) of Akalpurakh and on the other side it is Shabad Guru, who advises (ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਰੂਪ). Spiritually both are embodiment of each other.
The Sikh has full freedom to take his own decisions and face the consequences.
