Does one have to be at the Gurdwara at midnight before New Year’s Day?

The purpose of going to Gurdwara Sahib is to learn, understand and follow Gurbani written in Guru Granth Sahib. The understanding of the Hukam of Akal Purkh will help us to lead a successful life. Whenever, we go to Gurdwara Sahib, We should ask ourselves as what enlightenment we have received.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇਸੀ ॥ ਏਤੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਧੋਇ ਹਛਾ ਹੋਇਸੀ ॥
Better to note down the points for the clarity and future guidance. However, if we are coming back empty handed, then fault either lies with us or there is something wrong with the programs being conducted.
The purpose of conducting the programs before new year is just to keep the Sikhs away from the wrong customs and habits.
