start firmly on Believeing and He will make you realize that nothing without Him
God in Gurmat is Godly Virtues described in SGGS. One have to know them, understand them and imbibe them. There is nothing like believing blindly.
AGGS 982
Bani Guru Guru Hai Bani Vich Bani Amrit Sare || Gur Bani Kehai Sevak Jann Manai Partakh Guru Nistare ||5||
The Word (Bani) is Guru, and Guru is the Bani. Within the Bani, the Ambrosial Nectar (Virtues) is contained. If God’s humble servant believes, and acts according to the teachings of the Guru’s Bani, then Guru emancipates him.
AGGS 515
Wah Wah Bani Nirankar Hai Tis Jevadd Avar N Koe ||
Waho! The Word (Bani) is the Formless God. There is no other as great as God.
AGGS 797
Satgur Ki Jis No Mat Aavai So Satgur Mahi Samana || Eh Bani Jo Jiahu Janai Tis Antar Ravai Har Nama ||1|| Rehao ||
One, who accepts the wisdom of the True Guru’s Teachings, is absorbed into the True Guru. The Virtues of the God abides deep within the nucleus of one who realizes the Bani. That means formless God is the Virtues in Bani.
