      For those wanting to go a bit deeper into philosophy, please read on:

      There are multiple references in SGGS BANI about NAAMU.
      Please note: The NAAAMU is HUKAM, to be understood and lived. Sikhi is a way of life and chanting alone of any word or words has no place in Sikhi. For that reason, chanting the word VAHIGURU or anything else, over and over has no value as per Sikhi.

      ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਕਹਿਐ ਰਾਮੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
      ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਰਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ (ਮ:੩, ਪੰ;੪੯੧)
      Everyone chants the name of RAM, but chanting doesn’t make it.
      With the guidance of the Guru, only when the NAAMU is imbibed within one’s mind, one can reap the fruits.
