      The Sikh is not prohibited from reading any historical text, as literature, keeping in mind the fact that the Tenth Guru Person, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, had bestowed Guruship to Guru Granth Sahib, at Nanded, in October, 1708, before closing the lineage of living Guru Persons (who were spiritually one with Akalpurakh), for all times to come.
