      Guru Nanak Sahib ji is our Satguru who enlightens us about our creator and helps us in connecting with our creator through the sacred words of his Bani.

      Respected Brother/Sister,
      Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

      In response to your question, the undersigned wants to say that Guru Nanak Sahib has no where claimed that he is the Creator.

      Guru Granth Sahib starts with Jap Baani of First Guru Person, Guru Nanak Sahib, and the Baani starts with, what is called Mool Mantar, which defines the attributes of the Creator (Akalpurakh), with whom a person can become one, with the help of Shabad Guru:-

      ੴ (Ik Onkar) (One Universal Creator God);
      ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ (Sat Naam) (The Name Is Truth);
      ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ (Karta Purakh) (Creative Being Personified);
      ਨਿਰਭਉ (Nirbhau) (No Fear);
      ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ (Nirvair) (No Enmity or Hatred),
      ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ (Akal Moorat) (Image of the undying);
      ਅਜੂਨੀ (Ajuni) (Beyond Birth);
      ਸੈਭੰ (Saibhang) (Self-existstant);
      ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ (Gur Parsad) (By Guru’s Grace)

      Now coming to who is Guru, as per Guru Granth Sahib, the First Guru Person, Guru Nanak Sahib, in his discussion with Yogis, while replying to their question, had made it very clear that his Guru was Shabad. Please read the following:

      ਕਵਣ ਮੂਲੁ ਕਵਣ ਮਤਿ ਵੇਲਾ ॥ ਤੇਰਾ ਕਵਣੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਤੂ ਚੇਲਾ ॥ ਕਵਣ ਕਥਾ ਲੇ ਰਹਹੁ ਨਿਰਾਲੇ ॥ ਬੋਲੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਤੁਮ ਬਾਲੇ ॥ ਏਸੁ ਕਥਾ ਕਾ ਦੇਇ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਲੰਘਾਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੪੩॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 942}

      ਅਰਥ: (ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ:) = (ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ) ਕੀਹ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ? ਕੇਹੜੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ (ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ) ਸਮਾ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਚੇਲਾ ਹੈਂ? ਕੇਹੜੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ?

      ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ-) ਹੇ ਬਾਲਕ (ਨਾਨਕ!) ਸੁਣ, (ਅਸਾਨੂੰ) ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੱਸ (ਅਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਭੀ ਸਮਝਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ) ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ। 43।
      ———-
      ਪਵਨ ਅਰੰਭੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਤਿ ਵੇਲਾ ॥ ਸਬਦੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਧੁਨਿ ਚੇਲਾ ॥ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਲੇ ਰਹਉ ਨਿਰਾਲਾ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ॥ ਏਕੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਕਥਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਅਗਨਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ॥੪੪॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 943}

      ਅਰਥ: (ਉੱਤਰ:) ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਹਨ। (ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ) ਸਮਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਮੇਰਾ) ਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਉ (ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ) ਸਿੱਖ ਹੈ।

      ਮੈਂ ਅਕੱਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਕੇ) ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੇ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਗੁਰ-ਗੋਪਾਲ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।

      ਕੇਵਲ ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ) ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਹਉਮੈ (ਖ਼ੁਦ-ਗਰਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ) ਅੱਗ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। 44।

      As per Gurbani, Akalpurakh and Shabad Guru are spiritually embodiment of each other, which has been taught in Guru Granth Sahib many times. Two examples are:

      ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਆਪਿ ॥ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੬੭॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 387}
      ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ– ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖ, ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ।4। 16। 67।

      ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣੁ ॥ ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਰੂਪ ਸਮਝੋ। ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਭੀ (ਸਿਰ-ਮੱਥੇ) ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

      Hope it helps. If you have any further questions, please do ask. If you find any deficiencies, please point out the same, for improvement in future.

      Regards,
      Your brother

        As per teachings of Guru Granth Sahib, even a person can spiritually become like Akalpurakh. The Ninth Guru Nanak, Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, in his Salok, at Panna 1427-1428, guides us as under:

        ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਨਿਸਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਭਜੈ ਰੂਪ ਰਾਮ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਨੁ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੀ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੨੯॥ (ਪੰਨਾ 1427-1428) ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ– (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਸਮਝੋ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੱਚੀ ਮੰਨੋ ਕਿ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।29।

            ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜਨਾ (Meditation) ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮ‌ ਸਿਮਰਨ

            Meditation /To connect one’s consciousness (ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜਨਾ- ਅਕਸਰ ਰੂਹਾਨੀ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਜੋੜਨਾ)

            ਸੁਖਮਨੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਨਾਨਕ, ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ:

            ਅਸਟਪਦੀ ॥ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸੁਨਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ॥ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਪੇਖੁ ॥ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰ ਕੀ ਉਤਰੈ ਚਿੰਦ ॥ ਆਸ ਅਨਿਤ ਤਿਆਗਹੁ ਤਰੰਗ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਮਨ ਮੰਗ ॥ ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਹੁ ॥ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਹੁ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕੇ ਭਰਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ॥੧॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 295}

            ਅਰਥ: (ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸੁਣ, ਤੇ, ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਨੇੜੇ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ।
            (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਦੰਮ-ਬ-ਦੰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ, (ਤਾਂ ਜੁ) ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਏ।
            ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਨਿੱਤ ਨਾਹ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ (ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਆਸਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਰਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ, ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਮੰਗ।
            (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ) ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ, (ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ।
            ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪੀ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਭਰ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰ।1।

            ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ‘ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਰਕਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੇਖ’ ਦੇ ਪੰਨਾ 12 ਤੇ‌‌ ‘ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀ ਹੈ’ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ:-

            ….ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ‘ਸੁਰਤਿ’ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ‘ਸੁਰਤਿ’ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿੱਕੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ-ਮਿਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਜਿੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਚੁਭੀ ਲੁਆਣੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ‘ਸਿਮਰਨ’ ਹੈ। ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ, ‘ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ, ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਾ’। ਉਸ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਜੋਤਿ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਪਸਰੀ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ‘ਤੂੰ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ’ ਆਖਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ‘ਸਿਮਰਨ’ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫਤਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨੀਆਂ ਸੁਣਨੀਆਂ, ਗਾਣੀਆਂ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੈ।

            ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ/ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸਲਾਹ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੈ। ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਸ ਸਾਸ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੰਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

            ਭਗਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ:

            ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਜੀਉ ਕੀ ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਘਰੁ ੧ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਆਨੀਲੇ ਕਾਗਦੁ ਕਾਟੀਲੇ ਗੂਡੀ ਆਕਾਸ ਮਧੇ ਭਰਮੀਅਲੇ ॥ ਪੰਚ ਜਨਾ ਸਿਉ ਬਾਤ ਬਤਊਆ ਚੀਤੁ ਸੁ ਡੋਰੀ ਰਾਖੀਅਲੇ ॥੧॥ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਾ ਬੇਧੀਅਲੇ ॥ ਜੈਸੇ ਕਨਿਕ ਕਲਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਮਾਂਡੀਅਲੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਆਨੀਲੇ ਕੁੰਭੁ ਭਰਾਈਲੇ ਊਦਕ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਆਰਿ ਪੁਰੰਦਰੀਏ ॥ ਹਸਤ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਬੀਚਾਰ ਕਰਤੀ ਹੈ ਚੀਤੁ ਸੁ ਗਾਗਰਿ ਰਾਖੀਅਲੇ ॥੨॥ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਏਕੁ ਦੁਆਰ ਦਸ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗਊ ਚਰਾਵਨ ਛਾਡੀਅਲੇ ॥ ਪਾਂਚ ਕੋਸ ਪਰ ਗਊ ਚਰਾਵਤ ਚੀਤੁ ਸੁ ਬਛਰਾ ਰਾਖੀਅਲੇ ॥੩॥ ਕਹਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਤਿਲੋਚਨ ਬਾਲਕੁ ਪਾਲਨ ਪਉਢੀਅਲੇ ॥ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕਾਜ ਬਿਰੂਧੀ ਚੀਤੁ ਸੁ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਰਾਖੀਅਲੇ ॥੪॥੧॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 972}

            ਅਰਥ: (ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ!) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੁਨਿਆਰੇ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ-ਬਾਤਾਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ, ਕੁਠਾਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਿਚ) ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਵਿੱਝਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।1। ਰਹਾਉ।

            (ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ! ਵੇਖ, ਮੁੰਡਾ) ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗੁੱਡੀ ਕੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗੁੱਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਡਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਪਾਂ ਭੀ ਮਾਰੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਗੁੱਡੀ ਦੀ) ਡੋਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।1।

            (ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ!) ਜੁਆਨ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ (ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ) ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਘੜਾ ਚੁੱਕ ਲੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, (ਆਪੋ ਵਿਚ) ਹੱਸਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਹਾਸੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਈ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਘੜੇ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।2।

            (ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ!) ਇੱਕ ਘਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਸ ਬੂਹੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਘਰੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗਊਆਂ ਚਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਛੱਡਦਾ ਹੈ; ਇਹ ਗਾਈਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਕੋਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਚੁਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਛੇ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ (ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਦਸ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ-ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਬਾਹ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ) ।3।

            ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ! ਸੁਣ, ਨਾਮਦੇਵ (ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤ) ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ– ਮਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਘੂੜੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅੰਦਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰੁੱਝੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।4।1।

            ਭਾਵ: ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ = ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਰਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਰਹੇ।

            ਹੋਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ:

            ਨਾਮਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਕਹੈ ਤਿਲੋਚਨੁ ਮੀਤ ॥ ਕਾਹੇ ਛੀਪਹੁ ਛਾਇਲੈ ਰਾਮ ਨ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਚੀਤੁ ॥੨੧੨॥ ਨਾਮਾ ਕਹੈ ਤਿਲੋਚਨਾ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਰਾਮੁ ਸੰਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲਿ ॥ ਹਾਥ ਪਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਕਾਮੁ ਸਭੁ ਚੀਤੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੨੧੩॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 1375-1376}

            ਅਰਥ: ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ! ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਇਹ ਅੰਬਰੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਠੇਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ? ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ (ਚਰਨਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਚਿੱਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋੜਦਾ? ।212।

            ਨਾਮਦੇਵ (ਅੱਗੋਂ) ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ! ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ; ਹੱਥ ਪੈਰ ਵਰਤ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਜ ਕਰ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿਤ ਮਾਇਆ-ਰਹਿਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ।213।

            ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਅਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ ਦੀ ਆਪੋ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਈ ਗੱਲ-ਬਾਤ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਰਾਗ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਪਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਇਕ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਦਾ ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ ਦੀ ਗੁੱਡੀ ਉਡਾਣਾ, ਰਲ ਕੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਖੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ, ਗਾਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਛਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜੁਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਘਾਹ ਚੁਗਣ ਜਾਣਾ, ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿੱਕੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਘੂੜੇ ਤੇ ਸੁਆ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗਣਾ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਭੀ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਗੁੱਡੀ ਵਿਚ, ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਘੜੇ ਵਿਚ, ਹਰੇਕ ਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਛੇ ਵਿਚ, ਤੇ, ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਬੱਚੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਭਾਵ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੋ ਸ਼ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

            ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਭਰਮ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਘੰਟਾ ਦੋ ਘੰਟੇ ਚੌਂਕੜੀ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਬੈਠਣਾ ਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੈ?

          Sikhi has nothing to to do with photos or idols because our Guru is Shabad, which teaches spirituality and not religion. Like Guru Sahiban were spiritually one with Akalpurakh, similarly Sikh can also spiritually become one with Akalpurakh.

          ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਨਾਲ ਆਤਮਿਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਸਨ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਵੀ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਿਕ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਹੀ ਨੋਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਝਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ:

          ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਨਿਸਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਭਜੈ ਰੂਪ ਰਾਮ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਨੁ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੀ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੨੯॥ (ਪੰਨਾ 1427-1428) ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ– (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਸਮਝੋ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੱਚੀ ਮੰਨੋ ਕਿ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।29।ਐ
