Singing, that’s why raags are there. Guru sahab ji used to sing.
Secondly, SGGS emphasize significantly on ਗਾਵੈ
Gavna means to sing, which ensures that you understand the meaning and express Shabad with associated emotions.
Even saying poems also comes under ਗਾਵੈ, as you feel it and express it with meaning and emotions.
In recitation, you may lose meaning and definitely, you lose emotions if not doing with sahej.
