Why are our Sikh people confused?
Why don’t they trust their Guru’s teachings.
I’m asking this question as I see Sikh people following baba/ peers deities from other religions.
When questioned they are clueless.
It’s really sad.

I agree with you that it is very sad that Sikhs go to Babas, Deras etc. According to me, the main reason is expectation of fulfilment of worldly desires, which no one can fulfil and be satisfied. They never ever read Guru Granth Sahib and get get knowledge and wisdom from it. Guru says
AGGS 958
Vin Tudh Hor J Mangana Sir Dukha Kai Dukh || Deh Naam Santokhia Otarai Mann Ki Bhukh ||
To ask for any other than You God is the most miserable of miseries. Please bless me with Your Virtues (Naam), and make me contented so that the hunger of my mind (Mann) for worldly desires is satisfied.

As Dr. Kala Singhji said SIKHS do not read GURBANI them selves. What is presented to them is LITRAL where the real message is completely lost. For this reason SIKHS believe false SAKHIS and fall in the trap of false BABAS. I think the most serious challenge for SIKH SCHOLARS who understand GURBANI IN ITS TRUE SENSE is to educate others on the true spiritual philosophy of BABA NANAK. So far there is no collective effort being made that can impact every SIKH in the world. Now we have SIKH SCHOLARS who spent years in GURBANI research and come up with TRUE PHILOSOPHY OF BABA NANAK. It is matter of getting that to every SIKH in the world. That is the need of the time , rather that each group trying to do their own bit. These are my thoughts.
