Dear, Kaur Ji. Yes, of course. Our Guru Sahib Ji have given us equality in all the aspects whether it be a panj pyaare or a granthi. Our Guru Sahib Ji has said:
ਇਸੁ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਹੋਰ ਸਗਲੀ ਨਾਰਿ ਸਬਾਈ।।(591)
There is only one Husband that is Akaal Purakh, all other beings are his brides.
Only because of some deravaadi people, some people are forced to think partially and because of their lack of knowledge in Gurbani there is discrimination in some areas.
