BRAHAMGYANI

The following Shabad clearly describes that Brahmgyani is being used in Guru Granth Sahib for the Akal Purkh.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਭ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਕਾ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
The God-conscious being is the Creator of all the world.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਦ ਜੀਵੈ ਨਹੀ ਮਰਤਾ ॥
ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜਿਊਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਦੇ (ਜਨਮ) ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ।
The God-conscious being lives forever, and does not die.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜੀਅ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਗਿਆਨੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ (ਦੱਸਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ) ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
The God-conscious being is the Giver of the way of liberation of the soul.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥
ਉਹੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਤੇ ਕਾਦਰ ਹੈ ।
The God-conscious being is the Perfect Supreme Being, who orchestrates all.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਨਾਥ ਕਾ ਨਾਥੁ ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਗਿਆਨੀ ਨਿਖ਼ਸਮਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਹੈ,
The God-conscious being is the helper of the helpless.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਾ ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਹਾਥੁ ॥
ਸਭ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The God-conscious being extends his hand to all.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਾ ਸਗਲ ਅਕਾਰੁ ॥
ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਜਗਤ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਗਿਆਨੀ ਦਾ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਹੈ,
The God-conscious being owns the entire creation.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ॥
ਉਹ (ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਹੈ ।
The God-conscious being is himself the Formless Lord.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਬਨੀ ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਗਿਆਨੀ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ (ਕੋਈ) ਬ੍ਰਹਮਗਿਆਨੀ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ;
The glory of the God-conscious being belongs to the God-conscious being alone.

ਨਾਨਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਰਬ ਕਾ ਧਨੀ ॥੮॥੮॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਬ੍ਰਹਮਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ ।੮।੮।
O Nanak, the God-conscious being is the Lord of all. ||8||8||
