Vegan, vegetarian or Non-vegetarian is a personal choice.

ਬਾਬਾ ਹੋਰੁ ਖਾਣਾ ਖੁਸੀ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥
ਜਿਤੁ ਖਾਧੈ ਤਨੁ ਪੀੜੀਐ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਚਲਹਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ ॥(16)
That is, eating something that makes the body sick means that you do not eat what you cannot digest.
