WHAT IS THE POINT IF YOUR NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO THE BANI.

Doing Path or getting Akhamd Path done without listening, understanding and living life accordingly is meaningless as Gur Says

Sanak and Sanand, the sons of Brahma wasted their life away continually reading the Vedas written by Brahma and could not find the limits of the Virtues of the God. Churn the Virtues of the God, O my Siblings of Destiny steadily, so that the essence may not be lost. Make your body the churning pitcher, and use your mind (Mann) as churning stick to churn it. In this churning pitcher of the body put the curd of the spiritual knowledge of the Guru (Shabd). One who churns (Contemplate Steadily) the spiritual knowledge of the Guru (Shabd) in the mind (Mann) attains the Virtues of the God (Amrit Dhara). Says Kabir, if one makes oneself worthy of God’s Grace, one can cross over this world ocean of worldly temptations holding on to the Virtues of the God. So continually reading Guru Granth Sahib without contemplating is meaningless.

Gurbani is meant for understanding and following the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib in ones life.
There is no use of any ritual recitation.
Doctor writes the medicine to be taken by the patient. Can any one get cured if medicine is taken by the doctor instead of the patient.
Similarly how the Gurbani recited by the Granthi can cure the mental thoughts of another person.
If the family is busy all the time in taking care of the guests. Then there is no use of the Path whether it is done at home or Gurdwara Sahib.
Gurbani is meant to be read and understood by each individual. However, one can take the help of the experts for better understanding. Best is to recite Gurbani slowly and also understanding and researching that while studying.
