सिख धर्म के बारे में 10 तथ्य क्या हैं?

The word “Sikh” means “Seeker of Truth.” As a faith rooted in love, Sikhism stands for the equality of women and men and denounces any discrimination pertaining to gender, race, caste, creed, or color.

Sikhism teaches a Sikh to live his life in the present, as per Hukam of Akalpurakh and teachings of ever living Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

Further, Sikhism expects a Sikh to earn an honest living, remain connected with Akalpurakh all the time and share his honest earning with poor and needy. He is expected to live a truthful life, without indulging in any empty rituals & worthless religious practices. He is not expected to believe in life after death theories and is to serve the humanity, without any distinction of caste, creed and religion.

Sikhism also expects a Sikh to be compassionate, kind, tolerant and is to love all, which could be possible only if he sees Akalpurakh in all and once he achieves that mental state, he will have friends only and no enemies.

A Sikh is expected to get rid of vices in the present life itself and achieve salvation (Jeevan Mukat). There is no salvation for a Sikh after death.
