it is very difficult to say whether washing the floor of Gurudwara with diluted milk is ਮਨਮਤ or not as Sikh Rehat Maryada is quiet on the issue. it a tradition that in Darbar Sahib Amritsar the floor vis washed with diluted milk . I remember when my son was born my mother in law insisted that he be bathed with diluted milk and not with soap . When I reasoned that the baby was in diapers all the time he must be bathed with a good quality germicidal soap, she told me thatmilk was a very good cleansing agent and that I need not worry on that account. I believe that this belief must be behind the tradition of washing floor of a place which is visited by countleess people every day bringing all kinds of germs with their feet. A knowledgeable person may be able to throw light on the basis of this belief.

This means that tthey are not truly husband and wife who live together physically. They are truly married who live a soulful life together and evolve themselves to the extent where are truly United. It is also said that no man is complete in himself, neither is a wan is complete in herself. Together they make a whole. Aim of life is attain wholeness.
