I would also like to add here that swas – swas simran means to stay connected in the remembrance of Akal Purakh all the time. Now how can we chant do simran all the time? The thing that is to be understood in this all is that by reading and understanding Gurbani, we understand good qualities, divine virtues such as connecting with the truth, not being jealous, not condemning, etc. Now when we live life according to all these qualities that is called swas swas simran. All of these auspicious qualities can be adopted by reading and understanding Gurbani. So, one should always read Gurbani with thought and simran and try to live life accordingly so that swas swas are successful, that is Simran.

ਮੈਂ ਇਥੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ, ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ । ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸਵਾਸ ਸਵਾਸ ਜਪ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਝਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਕੇ, ਸਮਝਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਸੱਚ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨਾ ਹੈ, ਈਰਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ, ਨਿੰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਆਦਿ । ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਊਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਕੇ ਅਪਣਾਏ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸੋ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸੋਚ ਕੇ, ਵੀਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਊਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਸਫਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹੋ ਹੀ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੈ।

ਸਤਿਕਾਰਯੋਗ ਜੀਉ

ਇਹ ਕਰਮ ਫਿਲਾਸਫੀ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਬਹੁਤਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੈ
ਮਾਥੈ ਜੋ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੁ ਮੇਟਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ , ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਦੇ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੋ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਸੋ ਬੂਝੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਹੋਇ ॥(1413)
ਭਾਵ ਜੋ ਕਰਮ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਹਨ ,ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਫਲ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੈ।ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ , ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਦਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੇਪਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੈਸਾ ਲਿਖਾਂਗੇ ਵੈਸਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਆਏਗਾ। ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੱਥੇ ਦੇ ਲੇਖ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੀ ਲਿਖੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਨੇ ਹਨ।

This is the Karam philosophy. It is very important to understand this. Most of the time we keep interpreting it as we see it fit. But in Gurbani the Hukam is:
ਮਾਥੈ ਜੋ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੁ ਮੇਟਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
This means that Hukam uses Akal Purakh. He, who understands His Hukam, performs deeds according to the Hukam, writes the writing on his forehead according to the deeds he has done. Man cannot escape the consequences of his deeds.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੋ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਸੋ ਬੂਝੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਹੋਇ ॥(1413)
Meaning whatever deeds we have written, God has to reward accordingly. Whoever understands the Hukam of Akal Purakh, then that human being becomes the recipient of His Nadar.
Our result will be the same as what of we write in the paper. If we act according to the Hukam of Akal Purakh, then the inscriptions on the forehead will also be auspiciously written. We have to understand God’s Hukam and do good deeds accordingly.
