Does Gurbani say anything about yoga ?
Respected Anonymous; Yes, there are many a reference about yoga in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bani. One of them is on page 730 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Read more

The spirit of the message is that yoga, union with the Creator, is not in outer wear and what one carries in hand. The true yoga, union with the Creator, is while living among the society and still staying unattached to it.
Hope this helps.

I am unaware of any references in Sri Guru Granth Sahib about converting people to Sikhi.
However, the historic examples from Sri Guru Nanak Sahib onwards are quite clear. Sikhs believe in educating the audiences about the truth in this life and those who understand it converts to Sikhi. Sikhi does not condone any conversion by false promises, by coercion, or by force.

Thank you for asking this very pertinent question.
As best as I know Gurbani, the important thing is one’s inner self. The wearing of clothes is what suites one.
But in SIkhi there are practices accepted with some unverifiable reference to history that wearing a cap is not allowed, however Patka is, The Patka may be sewn somewhat like a cap but is accepted. So, these are based on hearsay and not verifiable history.
At the same time the society belief, right or wrong, goes a long way in any practice being accepted by society.
Hope this helps.

No, it is not wrong at all to stand up for yourself as many times as you need to be heard. The humility and respect for others, waiting for your turn may be in order depending on the situation. And at times it may not be worth your while to explain to those who are unable to understand you.

Now SAT SRI AKAAL if taken a word at a time,
SAT is the Truth,
SRI is the highest or best
AKAAL is Timeless or beyond time.
So, the meaning of this could be: The Truth is highest and eternal.
The Creator is also referred to as Truth in Gurbani. So, it could be interpreted as The Creator is supreme and Eternal. This is without adding any other extrapolations.
Hope this helps.

See lessMany a Sikhs have so many ritualistic misconception about it.
As per Gurbani, It is love and respect for the Guru that is essential for one to do PATH. that is read and receive Guru’s message.
Please note different people have different ways to express their love and different ways to show their love and sometimes it also depends upon their financial status.
For Guru as long as one is respectful and is willing to listen and follow the message, it is just fine.
Otherwise, following all the rituals but not understanding, learning, and adopting Guru’s message in one’s life, is just that, rituals.

As for Khanday Batay Di Pahul, erroneously called Amrit, is the choice of the one taking it. Khanday Di Pahul can be administered to a desiring individual when they have taken Gurbani Amrit and are able to understand the responsibility and perform the duties associated with it.
